Every Wednesdays is Raclette Day at the Cumberland!
Join us at The Cumberland on Wednesdays and treat yourself to our L’Artisan Raclette, melted and scraped onto new potatoes, cured meats, leg ham and served with pickles, sourdough bread and crisps ($45). Serves two people. Bookings Essential.
What is Raclette?
Raclette cheese is best known for its use in the Swiss dish also called "raclette." In this dish, the cheese is heated, typically using a special raclette grill, until it melts, and then it is scraped onto boiled potatoes, pickles, and sometimes cured meats or other accompaniments. This method of serving is especially popular in winter months and often associated with social gatherings and festive occasions.
